Account Help

Creating an account and signing in
Creating a Hagglefor account is free. You’ll need a working email address and must verify it before using account features that require a verified identity.
Hagglefor Marketplace participation is available only to people aged 18 or over.
Forgot your password?
If you still have access to your registered email address, use Forgot password? to request a secure password-reset link.
The link expires after a short time and can only be used once. Changing your password signs your account out of any other existing sessions.
Lost access to your email?
If you no longer have access to your registered email address, use your Account Recovery Key.
Recovery Keys are shown only when created. Hagglefor does not keep a readable copy and cannot show your existing key to you later.
During recovery you provide your Recovery Key and a new email address. The new address must then be verified before it replaces the old one.
Successful recovery also requires you to choose a new password, signs out previous sessions, uses up the Recovery Key you entered and gives you a new one to save.
If you lose both access to your registered email address and your Recovery Key, Hagglefor may be unable to recover the account for you.
Your privacy is more important than convenience.
Account Support
If you can sign in, use Account Support for help with your account, membership or Marketplace activity.
Never send us your password or Recovery Key. Account Support is not an alternative way to bypass the normal recovery process.
Activity, saved features and account closure
Hagglefor only keeps the account information needed to provide the features you choose to use.
Marketplace activity is kept only while it is operationally needed and is not turned into a permanent personal trading history.
Features you deliberately choose to save — such as Wants, favourites, saved searches or collections — may remain attached to your account because you asked Hagglefor to remember them.
Membership expiry does not make an account dormant.
An unused account may eventually be treated as dormant. Hagglefor gives reasonable warning before an otherwise eligible dormant account is closed.
When an account is closed, unnecessary personal information is deleted or de-identified. Only information with an independent reason to remain — such as necessary commercial, security or anonymous archive evidence — is retained.
