Who operates Hagglefor

Information Hagglefor uses

Hagglefor uses only the information needed to provide and protect the service. Depending on the features you use, this may include account and verified-email information, membership and commercial evidence, seller and listing information, live bids, current Marketplace relationships, and necessary session and security information.

Service providers may send service and security emails for Hagglefor. The site uses the necessary browser-session cookie to keep your session working securely. It does not use advertising, analytics or behavioural-tracking cookies.

Information you deliberately share with another member in a private Deal Room is shared with that member for the Deal.

Marketplace privacy

Hagglefor records the Marketplace Deal struck price, not the final private amount paid between buyer and seller. Hagglefor does not know, calculate, verify or retain the final amount paid to the seller or the seller’s proceeds.

Private Deal Room messages, contact details and completion information are temporary. After the Deal is complete, private Deal information is kept only for a short period in case an issue needs to be resolved, then the identifiable connection between buyer, seller and Deal is permanently deleted.

Hagglefor does not keep permanent buying or selling histories for its members. It does not keep permanent seller turnover, cumulative trade values, completed Deal counts or personal item ledgers.

Item details that may enrich our historical archives, together with the anonymised Deal struck price, may be added to the archive without identifying who traded.

Saved features and support

Features you choose to save — such as Wants, favourites, saved searches or collections — may remain attached to your account because you asked Hagglefor to remember them.

Open Account Support conversations remain available while they are being handled. Resolved support conversations are retained only for a limited period and are then deleted.

Account security and closure

Forgot Password sends a short-lived, single-use reset link to the registered email address. Completing the reset changes the password and signs the account out of existing sessions.

Hagglefor does not store a readable copy of an Account Recovery Key. Lost-email recovery verifies the new email address, requires a new password, revokes old sessions, consumes the Recovery Key used and gives you a new Recovery Key to save. If you lose both access to your registered email address and your Recovery Key, recovery may not be possible.

Membership expiry is not dormancy. A genuinely unused account may eventually be treated as dormant, and Hagglefor gives reasonable warning before an otherwise eligible dormant account is closed. Signing in or completing valid recovery keeps the account active.

Account closure deletes or de-identifies unnecessary personal information. Only information with an independent reason to remain — such as necessary commercial or security evidence, licensed non-personal content, or anonymous archive evidence — is retained.

Age and privacy enquiries

Hagglefor Marketplace participation is for people aged 18 or over.

Privacy enquiries may be sent to support@hagglefor.com. You may ask about access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information where applicable.

UK users may contact the Information Commissioner's Office where applicable if they remain dissatisfied after raising the issue with us.
