After a Deal Is Struck
Last revised: 15 September 2026
The private Deal Room
Once a seller accepts a bid, that Marketplace opportunity closes to other members and the buyer and seller enter their private Deal Room.
From there, they arrange payment, delivery or collection directly between themselves on whatever terms they agree.
Hagglefor gets out of the way: it does not hold funds, provide escrow, arrange shipping or know the final amount privately transferred.
Completing the Deal
The seller confirms when payment has been received, and the buyer confirms when the goods have been received.
These are simple completion checkpoints rather than a record of how much the seller received.
Once both sides have confirmed completion, a Private Deal Summary is made available. Save or print a copy if you want one for your own records.
Your Deal stays private
Private Deal messages, contact details and the identifiable connection between buyer, seller and Deal are kept only for a short period in case an issue needs to be resolved, then permanently deleted.
Item information, licensed media and the anonymised Deal struck price may remain in the archive where they add useful historical knowledge — without identifying who bought or sold the item.
If something goes wrong
Hagglefor does not arbitrate the private transaction between buyer and seller.
Keep important arrangements in the Deal Room while it remains available, choose sensible payment and delivery methods, and if something does not feel right, stop and check before proceeding.
