Marketplace Terms

Last revised: 4 November 2026

The Marketplace is provided via Hagglefor

Hagglefor.com is a separate website service, also operated by Merryton LLC, providing a combined Marketplace for our specialist websites where members can negotiate and trade collectible items.

Hagglefor is not the buyer or seller of Marketplace items. It does not take payment for them, provide escrow or arrange delivery.

No buyer’s premium. No seller’s commission. The deal price is the deal price.

Listings

Sellers must own or have the legal right to sell any items they offer, and must also have the right to upload any photographs, descriptions or other material they provide.

Sellers must describe items honestly and make important condition, provenance and limitation information clear.

Hagglefor may review, publish, decline, restrict or otherwise remove or limit a listing where appropriate.

An asking price may be added or changed while a listing is live. An asking price is not Buy It Now.

Hagglefor does not guarantee an item’s authenticity, provenance, ownership, condition, value or the accuracy of a seller’s description. Buyers must make their own judgement before agreeing a Deal.

Bids and Deals

Buyers control their own bids and may adjust or withdraw them while the Marketplace rules allow.

There is no automatic or proxy bidding, and reaching or exceeding the seller’s asking price does not automatically create a sale.

The seller decides whether and when to strike a Deal with the leading bidder.

Once a Deal is struck, that Marketplace opportunity closes to other members.

Completing a Deal

Buyer and seller then use the private Deal Area to arrange payment, delivery or collection directly between themselves.

Hagglefor does not know or record the final private amount paid between them.

The seller confirms payment received and the buyer confirms goods received. These are completion checkpoints only and are not a record of the seller’s proceeds.

Once both sides confirm completion, a Private Deal Summary is made available for them to keep.

Hagglefor does not arbitrate or enforce the private transaction between buyer and seller.

Marketplace privacy

Private Deal messages, contact details and the identifiable connection between buyer, seller and Deal are kept only temporarily in case an issue needs to be resolved. After a short period that identifiable connection is permanently deleted.

Hagglefor does not keep permanent buying or selling histories for its members, seller turnover, cumulative trade values, completed Deal counts or personal item ledgers.

Item details that may enrich our historical archives, together with the anonymised Deal struck price, may be added to the archive without identifying who traded.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of material that belongs to you. The applicable Contribution Terms are presented before Marketplace uploads and direct specialist-site contributions. Registration alone grants no content licence. Earlier contributions and their permissions remain governed by their existing rights and acceptance history.

What may be listed

Hagglefor is primarily a marketplace for vintage, collectible, specialist and unusual items rather than a general sales channel for ordinary new or second-hand goods.

Listings must comply with the current Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy.

Your responsibilities

Buyers and sellers remain responsible for their own decisions, payment, delivery, collection, taxes, records and compliance with laws that apply to their transaction.

Use Hagglefor lawfully and in good faith.

Fraud, threats, abuse, deliberate market manipulation, repeated bad-faith dealing, unlawful activity or attempts to compromise the service may lead to restrictions on Marketplace access, seller access or the account itself.

These terms

Before your first bid or listing, explicitly accept the applicable revision of these Marketplace Terms. Before a first contribution, explicitly accept the applicable Contribution Terms unless already accepted for that action. Editorial changes with unchanged meaning do not require fresh acceptance. Existing transactions and acceptance history remain unchanged.

These terms use Wyoming and applicable United States law as their contractual starting point, while preserving any mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
